Tietoa tästä mittarista

Mitä se mittaa

Coin Blocks Created measures new coin age generated as the blockchain advances: each unspent BTC accrues one coin block per new block, summed over the day. The unit is BTC-blocks; the chart shows daily age creation rather than an all-time cumulative total.

Näin luet sitä

Higher daily values generally reflect more blocks produced, a larger circulating supply, or both; lower values can reflect a slower day of block production. The series reached about 3.94 billion BTC-blocks on February 15, 2026, but was about 2.75 billion on October 17, 2026, confirming it can fall from day to day.

Age creation happens mechanically and is not evidence of fresh capital or deliberate accumulation. Actual block counts vary, so compare it with Coin Blocks Destroyed over a suitable window; supply growth and block timing affect the baseline even when holder behavior is unchanged.

Does Coin Blocks Created count newly mined BTC?

No. New issuance adds to supply, but coin blocks measure the age accumulated by the unspent supply as blocks pass. The BTC-blocks unit combines amount with block-based time.

Why can Coin Blocks Created fall from one day to the next?

The displayed daily value sums age created during that day. It is not the running sum of all age ever created, so fewer blocks or other changes in daily inputs can produce a lower observation.

Can Coin Blocks Destroyed exceed Coin Blocks Created in a day?

Yes. Spending can consume age built up over years, while daily creation covers only newly accrued age. A large old-coin transfer can therefore exceed that day's age budget.
