It establishes that the transferred coins were spendable, but not why they had been inactive. Long-term storage and custody arrangements can produce the same age without any lost-key recovery.
Are older coins given more weight within the 5y–7y band?
No. One BTC held for five years contributes the same amount as one BTC held for seven years if both meet the band rules. Coin Days Destroyed weights the duration instead.
How does the 2022 record compare with 2024 activity?
