Informazioni sulla metrica

Cosa misura

Runes Transaction Share divides the daily count of confirmed Runes-related transactions by all confirmed Bitcoin transactions that day and expresses the result as a percentage. It shows the protocol's share of transaction activity rather than its share of BTC value, block space or fees.

Come leggerlo

A higher percentage means Runes accounts for more of the day's transaction count, while a lower one means other uses account for more. The recorded high was about 86.23% on April 23, 2024; the low was about 1.13% on February 6, 2025. These observations show how markedly its role in the transaction mix has changed.

The denominator matters: share can rise when other activity falls, even if Runes counts do not increase. Automated transactions can dominate the count without representing more users, and different transaction sizes and fee bids prevent direct conversion into space or fee share. Read the absolute Runes count alongside the ratio.

FAQ

How is Runes transaction share calculated?

Divide that day's Runes transaction count by the total Bitcoin transaction count, then multiply by 100. The denominator includes both Runes and other confirmed Bitcoin activity.

Does an 80% Runes share mean it pays 80% of network fees?

No. Transactions can differ greatly in size and fee rate. The ratio gives each transaction equal weight, so it cannot establish the protocol's fee contribution.

Why can Runes share and transaction count move in opposite directions?

The share compares Runes with all network transactions. If other activity falls faster, the share can rise while Runes counts decline; if other activity grows faster, a higher Runes count can still yield a smaller share.
