Informazioni sulla metrica

Cosa misura

Inscription Transaction Count records the daily number of confirmed Bitcoin transactions classified as inscription activity, split into Text, BRC-20, Image, Video, Audio and Other. Each series is a transaction count, rather than a BTC amount or the market value of inscribed assets.

Come leggerlo

A jump in one category shows a burst of that kind of inscription activity; falling counts indicate fewer such transactions reaching the chain. BRC-20 reached about 504,700 transactions on November 12, 2023, while Image peaked near 45,100 on July 1, 2024, illustrating how different content types can have separate activity waves.

Transaction counts do not measure unique users or inscription trading volume. Automated operations and repeated transactions can lift activity without broadening participation, and large media payloads may consume considerable block space with relatively few transactions. Compare counts with inscription fees and block-space share to assess their network footprint.

FAQ

Are inscription transactions the same as the number of inscriptions?

Not necessarily. This chart counts transactions classified as inscription activity; the number of individual inscriptions or assets can differ when a transaction carries more than one inscription.

Why are Text and BRC-20 shown separately?

BRC-20 uses text-based inscriptions for token-related operations, but it has its own category here. Text is the separate text category in this breakdown, so the two labels should not be treated as interchangeable.

Does an increase in inscription transactions mean more BTC is being transferred?

No. The series counts transactions regardless of the BTC amount involved. To assess resource demand, compare it with fees and block space rather than treating it as transfer value.
