Om detta mått

Vad det mäter

The Realized Profit-to-Value (RPV) Ratio divides daily realized profit in USD by Realized Cap, the aggregate last-moved cost basis of circulating bitcoin. It is dimensionless and displayed as a percentage, expressing daily gross gains relative to the network's stored cost basis.

Så läser du det

Higher percentages mean profit realization is large relative to Realized Cap; lower percentages mean a smaller share of that cost base is being realized as profit. The full-history median is about 0.083%, while the maximum reached 18.525% on April 29, 2011, illustrating how extreme early-network readings can be.

The numerator includes profit only, so losses do not cancel it out. A growing denominator can reduce RPV even when dollar profit rises, and early price discovery and a small cost base distort comparisons across eras; no fixed percentage identifies a market turning point.

Vanliga frågor

How do I convert the raw RPV Ratio to a percentage?

Multiply by 100. A raw value of 0.00019553, recorded on October 17, 2026, is about 0.0196%, not 1.9553% or 19.553%.

How is RPV different from SOPR?

RPV compares realized profit with the cost basis of the entire circulating supply. SOPR compares the transfer value of spent coins with those same coins' acquisition value, so it has a breakeven line at 1 rather than measuring a share of total Realized Cap.

Is RPV a measure of investment return?

No. It is a daily on-chain profit flow divided by a network-wide cost base, not the return earned by an individual portfolio. Coins that do not move contribute to the denominator but not that day's profit.
