Om detta mått

Vad det mäter

Supply Last Active 1m–3m sums the BTC in unspent outputs last moved on-chain between one and three months ago. This band tracks holdings that have outlasted the first month without yet reaching three months, with the result expressed in BTC.

Så läser du det

A rising balance shows more of the previous months' activity persisting into this holding window; it does not date new demand to today. Falling supply can reflect renewed spending or maturation into the 3m–6m band. The band reached about 3.57 million BTC on October 22, 2017 and a 2024 high of about 2.64 million on May 5, illustrating the delayed footprint of earlier output creation.

A large cohort can be holding gains or losses; coin age alone does not reveal its acquisition prices. Transfers within an owner's wallets also reset output age, and the wide two-month window naturally holds more supply than much shorter bands. Read it with recent price history and the neighboring age groups rather than as a direct flow of capital.

Vanliga frågor

Does growth in 1m–3m supply mean investors are accumulating now?

It mainly means outputs created one to three months earlier are still unspent. The transfer that started their age clock happened in the past, so growth is evidence of persistence rather than current buying.

Is the 1m–3m band all short-term holder supply?

No. It is only one part of it: the roughly 155-day short-term convention also includes younger coins and part of the 3m–6m band. This narrower window helps isolate holdings from a particular recent period.

Can 1m–3m supply rise while its owners are losing money?

Yes. Coins remain in the band if left unspent, regardless of price. Comparing the band with the BTC prices prevailing one to three months earlier gives context, but a cohort cost-basis metric is needed to quantify its profitability.
