O tym wskaźniku

Co mierzy

Short-Term Holder Cost Basis Distribution Heatmap is intended to group recently moved BTC by last-moved USD price, using a short-term age reference around 155 days. Density would show BTC in each acquisition-price band, but the available data only provide Price and fixed Max price and Min price references.

Jak to czytać

A populated short-term distribution would show where recent supply stands relative to breakeven: clusters above current price would be underwater, and those below it profitable. Unlike the long-term version, a short-term band could shrink as coins age out of the cohort even when they remain completely unmoved.

The available price lines do not reveal actual short-term supply clusters or support a historical density comparison. Bounds fixed at $0.01 and about $126,223 are not the cheapest and most expensive purchases by recent holders; wallet reshuffling can also make old holdings appear recent and reset their apparent cost.

FAQ

Why can a short-term cost band fade without any spending?

Coins can age beyond the short-term reference horizon and leave the cohort while keeping their cost basis. A fade in a populated chart would therefore need to be checked against long-term supply and spent volume.

Is the price line the short-term holder breakeven price?

No. Price is a market-price reference. A cohort breakeven average requires short-term holder cost and supply data, which the listed price and fixed-bound series do not provide.

How is a short-term heatmap different from an all-supply cost heatmap?

It is intended to isolate recently moved supply, excluding older holdings from its density bands. The all-supply version retains both recent coins and older, often much lower-cost coins.
