O tym wskaźniku

Co mierzy

Addresses with Balance ≥ $10 counts distinct addresses holding at least ten dollars of BTC at each date's market price. It excludes balances below $10 but includes every larger balance, with each qualifying address contributing one count.

Jak to czytać

This lower value cutoff captures a broad base of funded addresses, while removing smaller residual balances than the $1 count does. There were about 15.18 million qualifying addresses at the May 2020 halving and 35.21 million at the April 2024 halving. The October 17, 2026 reading was about 37.17 million, below the 38.74 million record set on October 6, 2025.

The threshold is in nominal dollars, so price appreciation can qualify old balances even when no coins move. Ten dollars is not a fixed dust limit or a guarantee that an output can be spent economically: fees depend on transaction size and prevailing fee rates. Large numbers of small addresses can also reflect wallet practices rather than more users.

FAQ

Is $10 a Bitcoin protocol dust threshold?

No. It is a dollar-value filter used by this metric. Spendability and relay policies depend on output characteristics and fees, not on a permanent ten-dollar boundary.

Why compare the $10 and $1 address counts?

Their difference shows how many addresses fall from $1 to under $10 at the same valuation date. That highlights small residual balances without treating them as a separate group of people.

Does the $10 count exclude large holders?

No. Every address worth at least $10 qualifies, including very large balances. This is a cumulative minimum, not a band limited to small holdings.
