O tym wskaźniku

Co mierzy

Addresses with Balance ≥ 1K BTC counts distinct Bitcoin addresses whose balances are at least 1,000 BTC. It includes addresses holding 10,000 BTC or more and gives each qualifying address equal weight, in units of addresses.

Jak to czytać

Growth means more addresses meet the thousand-coin cutoff; contraction means fewer do. The record was 2,488 on February 7, 2021, with BTC near $39,250. On October 17, 2026 the count was 2,030, up from 1,994 a month earlier but below 2,050 a year earlier, so a short-term increase can occur inside a weaker longer-term comparison.

Large-address counts are sensitive to custody arrangements: splitting one large balance may create several qualifying addresses, while consolidation can reduce the count. These addresses are often called whale addresses, but they do not map one-to-one to investors. Check their share of supply before concluding that large holders gained or lost influence.

FAQ

Are 1,000-BTC addresses the same as whale entities?

No. An entity can control many addresses, and a large address can pool the funds of many clients. An address threshold does not group wallets by common ownership.

Does the count show how much BTC whales added?

No. It records only how many addresses meet the threshold, not the size of their balance changes. A large addition to an already-qualified address leaves the count unchanged.

Can the 1,000-BTC and 10,000-BTC counts be added together?

No. The 10,000-BTC group is already included in the 1,000-BTC count. Subtracting the higher threshold count instead isolates addresses from 1,000 to under 10,000 BTC.
