Tietoa tästä mittarista

Mitä se mittaa

Supply Held by Addresses with 10–100 BTC aggregates the BTC held at addresses whose balances lie in that interval. Measured in BTC, it describes a middle layer of address balances rather than a dollar wealth category or an address count.

Higher totals mean more coins reside in the 10–100 BTC layer, while lower totals mean supply has left or been reassigned out of it. The series reached about 4.509 million BTC on September 20, 2019; at the April 2024 halving it held about 4.353 million BTC. A high BTC price does not automatically produce a new high in this fixed-balance group.

The dollar wealth represented by 10–100 BTC differs greatly across eras. Early mining balances, dormant holdings and modern wallet allocations can all meet the same coin limits, so interpreting the full history as the behavior of a consistent investor class would be misleading.

Why can this group hold less BTC even at a higher market price?

The chart measures coins, not market value. BTC can move into larger or smaller balance bands while the dollar value of the remaining holdings rises.

Is a 50 BTC balance necessarily an early miner wallet?

No. Although Bitcoin's original block subsidy was 50 BTC, later transfers can create the same balance. Neither balance size nor this aggregate series establishes an address's origin.

How should this band be compared across market cycles?

Compare the BTC amount, its share of total supply and changes in adjacent bands. Avoid assuming that the same nominal coin range represents the same purchasing power or type of owner in every era.
