حول هذا المقياس

ما الذي يقيسه

Address Holder Retention Rate expresses the share of the measured address population classified as retained holders, displayed as a percentage. It tracks continuity of holding a BTC balance rather than repeated transaction activity.

كيفية قراءته

A high or rising rate indicates more persistent address-level holding within the measured population; a low or falling rate indicates less continuity. The series fell to about 34.97% on December 18, 2013. It was about 61.74% at the May 2020 halving and 80.34% at the April 2024 halving, reaching about 82.48% on October 17, 2026, so modern readings sit well above that early low.

An address retaining BTC need not hold the same coins or keep its balance unchanged. Address rotation and wallet consolidation can make a continuing investor look like an exiting address; old, dormant balances can also sustain retention without current demand. The rate measures address behavior and cannot reveal investor loyalty or predict price.

الأسئلة الشائعة

Does holder retention require an address to keep transacting?

No. A funded address can remain a holder without sending or receiving BTC in the current activity window. That is why holder retention and activity retention measure different behavior.

Does an 82% holder retention rate mean 82% of people never sold?

No. It is an address-based classification, not a survey of people or a record of every trade. Holders can trade inside custodial services or move between their own addresses.

Can holder retention improve while demand weakens?

Yes. Existing balances can remain in place even if new activity slows. Comparing retention with new addresses and balance changes helps distinguish persistence from fresh participation.
