Om detta mått

Vad det mäter

Entity-Adjusted LTH/STH Transfer Volume in Profit/Loss splits adjusted daily transfer volume into LTH in loss, LTH in profit, STH in loss and STH in profit, displayed as percentage shares of the total. Long-term and short-term cohorts use a holding-age boundary of about 155 days, and profit or loss compares the transfer price with the estimated acquisition cost.

Så läser du det

A larger LTH in profit share means profitable long-held coins contribute more to transferred volume; a larger STH in loss share means more of the volume comes from recently held coins moving below cost. In 2024, LTH in profit reached about 64.62% on May 28, while STH in loss reached about 78.76% on September 5, illustrating very different spending mixes.

These are shares of coins transferred, not the dollar amounts of realized gains or losses. A share can rise while its absolute volume falls, and entity adjustment reduces identified self-transfers without proving that remaining moves are sales. Cohort age and acquisition cost are estimates, so read the mix alongside total adjusted volume and exchange inflows.

Vanliga frågor

Why does a metric called transfer volume display percentages?

The supplied series is normalized across the four cohort/profit-loss categories and displayed as shares. A reading of 0.25 is shown as 25%; it is neither 0.25 BTC nor a 25% investment return.

Does LTH in profit measure the profit earned by long-term holders?

It measures the share of transferred volume classified as long-term and in profit. It does not sum the gain above cost, so it cannot be read as realized-profit dollars.

How does this differ from LTH/STH profit-loss exchange inflows?

This chart covers adjusted transfers across the network. The exchange-inflow version restricts the destination to identified exchanges, giving a narrower view of coins arriving at trading venues.
