Addresses with Balance ≥ 10 BTC totals the distinct addresses with balances of at least ten bitcoin. Larger addresses remain included, and each address contributes one count irrespective of how far its balance exceeds 10 BTC.
A sustained increase indicates that more addresses clear the ten-coin threshold; a decline indicates fewer do. The count peaked at 157,436 on September 26, 2023, with BTC near $26,295. It was 150,108 on October 17, 2026, below both that record and the 154,778 recorded at the May 2020 halving, showing that a higher BTC price need not bring more ten-coin addresses.
This is neither the number of people owning ten BTC nor the total BTC held by those addresses. Multiple balances below ten BTC may belong to one person, while a service can pool many clients' coins above the threshold. Transfers that split or combine balances can shift the count independently of market demand.
Eligibility depends on the number of coins held, not their dollar value. Revaluation does not qualify new addresses, and transfers can move balances below the threshold even during a price advance.
Yes. The threshold is inclusive: a balance of 10 BTC qualifies, as does any larger balance.
No. Every address above 100 BTC is also above 10 BTC. To isolate addresses from 10 to under 100 BTC, compare the two threshold counts rather than adding them.
