Tietoa tästä mittarista

Mitä se mittaa

Miner Inflow Volume totals the BTC entering identified miner addresses each day, including mining rewards and other incoming transfers. It is a gross BTC flow, so BTC leaving those addresses is not deducted.

Näin luet sitä

An increase shows more incoming BTC reaching tracked miner wallets, but the source can be block rewards, returned funds or other transfers. The series peaked at about 54,969 BTC on February 25, 2012, far beyond a routine day's issuance. Its scale also changes structurally as halvings reduce the block subsidy, making within-era comparisons more informative than a fixed full-history threshold.

Incoming volume is not miner profit, and it cannot establish whether miners retained their coins. Fee income, the number of blocks produced, pool routing and address coverage affect the reading; net flow and miner holdings help show what remained after outgoing transfers.

Does miner inflow only count newly mined Bitcoin?

No. It includes incoming transfers to the identified miner wallets as well as mining rewards, so older BTC can contribute to a day's total.

Why does a halving matter when comparing miner inflows?

The block subsidy is cut in half, reducing the new BTC component for a similar number of blocks. Other transfers and transaction fees can offset or obscure that change on individual days.

Is Miner Inflow Volume a measure of mining profitability?

No. It is BTC entering wallets, before outgoing transfers and without deducting electricity, equipment or other operating costs. Profitability requires revenue and cost information beyond this series.
