Outgoing transfers are not necessarily sales: pool distributions and moves between wallets also generate activity. Address attribution and payout batching affect the series. No. Recipients can include pool participants, other wallets or service providers as well as exchanges. This count alone does not identify the destination category.
Can more miner transfers occur without more BTC leaving?

Should a Bitcoin halving cut miner outgoing transfer count in half?
