A rising series shows more spending from positions formed on-chain several months earlier; subdued readings show less activity in that window. The recorded daily maximum for 2023 was about 141,882 BTC on May 7, while the 2024 maximum was about 76,819 BTC on August 27. These observations describe transfer intensity, not a consistent profit or price signal.
Because the 155-day boundary falls inside this band, a spike cannot be assigned wholly to short-term or long-term holders.
