Entity-Adjusted Spent Volume Aged 6m–12m is the daily sum of BTC moved after six to twelve months unspent, excluding transfers recognized as internal to one entity. It isolates spending from holdings older than roughly half a year but not yet a year old.

Rising activity means more of these established holdings are circulating, while a decline points to fewer transfers from the band. Its record was about 227,205 BTC on November 28, 2014; the 2024 peak of about 144,172 BTC on May 28 also shows how concentrated spending can be.
Although these coins are older than the usual long-term holder cutoff, they represent only one slice of that cohort. The amount acquired six to twelve months earlier shapes the available stock, and clustering errors or non-sale transfers can distort the interpretation of any spike.

Can the volume fall because coins reach one year of age?
Yes. Unspent coins leave this band as they mature into the one-to-two-year range. A smaller eligible stock can lower volume without a broad change in holder behavior.
Does volume in BTC rise automatically when BTC price rises?
No. The measure counts coins, not their dollar value. A price increase only lifts the reading if the qualifying BTC transfer amount also increases.
