Om detta mått

Vad det mäter

Realized Cap by Wallet Size assigns holdings to BTC balance bands and sums their coins valued at last-move prices within each band. Values are in USD, from <0.001 BTC through >100K BTC, with Total representing aggregate recorded cost rather than current wealth.

Så läser du det

A rising band indicates more recorded cost in that balance category; a declining band indicates less. On October 17, 2026, 100–1K BTC held about $356.93 billion of cost basis, compared with about $101.08 billion in 1–10 BTC. These are capital-cost concentrations, not counts of holders or evidence that one group is more profitable.

Balances crossing a boundary can shift a holding's value between bands, and wallet splitting or consolidation can reshape the distribution without market trades. Large balances may represent custodians pooling many users. The metadata does not establish how addresses are grouped, so the bands cannot be equated directly with individual investor wealth.

Vanliga frågor

Is Realized Cap by Wallet Size the value of those wallets today?

No. It values coins at their recorded last-move costs. The corresponding market-cap breakdown uses current BTC price and measures present market value instead.

Does a rise in the 1–10 BTC band prove small holders are accumulating?

Not by itself. New acquisitions, revised cost bases and holdings moving across balance boundaries can all change the band. Compare BTC balances and neighboring bands before attributing the move.

Can large wallet-size bands be treated as individual whales?

No. An exchange or custodian may hold coins for many users, while one owner may split coins among many addresses. Balance-size labels do not establish beneficial ownership.
