Om denne måleverdien

Hva den måler

Supply Held by Addresses with 0.1–1 BTC totals the bitcoin held at addresses in the 0.1–1 BTC balance interval, in BTC. Addresses are regrouped as balances change, providing a daily view of supply around the sub-wholecoin range.

Slik leser du den

More BTC in this band indicates a larger pool of supply held in fractional-coin addresses, while a declining line means that pool is shrinking. The total was about 697,309 BTC at the May 2020 halving and reached about 1.103 million BTC on October 12, 2024. Its later readings need not move in step with the price cycle because these are fixed coin-balance bands.

A holder can use several sub-wholecoin addresses while owning much more than 1 BTC overall. Reaching a larger balance group removes an address from this band, and splitting a larger wallet can add coins to it without changing ownership. Read it alongside neighboring groups rather than as a retail portfolio total.

FAQ

Does this show how many people own less than one bitcoin?

No. It sums coins at addresses in a balance interval, and one person can hold several such addresses. Customers of a pooled custodial wallet may not appear as separate small balances at all.

Why compare this group with 1–10 BTC address supply?

Transfers and balance changes can move addresses across the wholecoin boundary. Comparing both groups helps identify redistribution around that boundary, although aggregate charts cannot trace the same holders.

What happens if one larger balance is split into several smaller addresses?

Supply in this band can rise if the resulting addresses fall into the 0.1–1 BTC interval. That is a change in address structure and need not represent new purchases.
