Entity-Adjusted Spent Volume Aged Over 10y measures BTC transferred each day after more than ten years unspent, filtering out recognized moves within one entity. It reports a daily amount in BTC, not the balance of all decade-old coins.
Jak to číst
A spike highlights the reactivation of exceptionally old coins, whereas low readings mean little qualifying supply is moving. The record peaks at about 40,240 BTC on July 17, 2025, against a 2024 maximum of about 2,818 BTC, illustrating the scale of occasional events in an otherwise sparse series.
Ten-year coins cannot exist before 2019, and this dataset also shows zeros throughout 2019; such years dominate historical ranks. Entity-adjusted age assignment need not match the raw output-based series exactly, and a surviving transfer can be a custody change rather than a sale.

Why does the chart start in 2009 if the band requires ten years?
The date range includes zero-filled years before coins could qualify. The yearly statistics remain zero through 2019 and first show a positive annual maximum in 2020; that is a property of this dataset, not Bitcoin's launch date.
Must adjusted over-ten-year volume always be below the unadjusted reading?
Do not assume that for an individual age band. The October 17, 2026 values are about 565.8 BTC adjusted and 496.8 BTC unadjusted, so the series should not be treated as a simple day-by-day subtraction.
Does spending decade-old BTC prove the coins went to an exchange?
No. Neither the age requirement nor entity adjustment establishes the destination as an exchange. Exchange inflows and transaction destinations are separate checks.
