Entity-Adjusted Total Transfer Volume adds the BTC transferred between distinct entities each day. Addresses attributed to the same owner are clustered together and identified internal transfers are removed, reducing the contribution of self-movement to measured volume.
Jak to číst
A growing total means more BTC is being transferred across entity boundaries, while a falling total signals quieter settlement. Daily volume reached about 604,235 BTC on March 13, 2020, and 553,361 BTC on June 13, 2022, the respective yearly highs. Large flows therefore need context: increased movement can accompany stress as well as expansion.
It is gross volume, not net new capital, exchange turnover or a count of distinct coins. BTC can move repeatedly, off-chain trades are missing, and custody transfers between entities can remain in the series. Address clustering is an estimate rather than a complete record of legal ownership.

Does entity adjustment remove all non-economic Bitcoin transfers?
No. It removes movements identified as internal to one entity. Unknown ownership links or transfers between separate custodians can still contribute volume without an underlying purchase.
Why can daily transfer volume be large relative to supply?
Supply is a balance and volume is a flow. The same BTC can cross entity boundaries several times, so the total does not represent a unique set of coins changing hands just once.
How does the adjusted total relate to LTH and STH volume?
The cohort series split transferred BTC by holding age under the same framework. On October 17, 2026, LTH volume of 5,577.8 BTC plus STH volume of 27,215.8 BTC equals 32,793.6 BTC, the adjusted total.
