Що вимірює
Addresses with Balance ≥ $1K counts Bitcoin addresses whose BTC balance, multiplied by the current USD price, is worth at least $1,000. The unit is addresses, and the BTC amount needed to qualify changes with price.
Як читати
An increase means more addresses clear the dollar threshold, whether from receiving coins or from BTC appreciation. The count reached about 13.46 million on October 6, 2025, compared with a 2022 low of about 4.81 million, illustrating how widely the eligible group can vary.
Price alone can move unchanged balances across the cutoff, so growth is not proof of fresh capital. Compare with fixed-BTC thresholds to separate valuation effects from balance changes; custodial pooling and one holder using many addresses also shape the total.

Часті запитання
How is the $1,000 address threshold calculated?
An address qualifies when its BTC balance times the prevailing BTC price is at least $1,000. As BTC rises, a smaller coin balance meets the same dollar requirement.
Does an increase mean more people own $1,000 of bitcoin?
It means more addresses qualify, not necessarily more people. One person may hold several qualifying addresses, while an exchange address can pool balances belonging to many customers.
How does this differ from addresses holding at least 0.01 BTC?
The 0.01 BTC threshold stays fixed in coins; the $1,000 threshold stays fixed in dollars. The dollar-based count can rise during a price rally even when no coins move.
