Addresses with Balance ≥ $1 counts addresses whose BTC balance is worth at least one US dollar at the observation date's BTC/USD price. Each address counts once, so this is a broad minimum-value address count rather than a dollar total or user count.

An increase means more addresses sit above the one-dollar filter, including small balances that would be excluded by higher value thresholds. The series reached about 49.95 million on October 11, 2026, and was about 49.86 million on October 17, versus 49.38 million a year earlier. Even near a record, the rate of growth conveys more information than the record alone.
Price appreciation can lift old residual balances above $1 without any new funding. A one-dollar balance need not be economical to spend, and address reuse or splitting affects the count. The earliest readings predate an established BTC dollar market, so those values should not be interpreted as contemporaneously observable one-dollar wealth.
