Spent Volume Aged 7y–10y totals the BTC amount in outputs spent each day after seven to ten years unspent. It is a daily flow in BTC from exceptionally old outputs, excluding both younger coins and outputs older than ten years.

A jump draws attention to a rare release of very old outputs; subdued volume means little of this specific age group moved. The daily record is about 138,025 BTC on May 28, 2024, compared with a 2023 maximum of about 2,132 BTC. That contrast shows how a few exceptional days can dominate the band's history.
Seven-to-ten-year dormancy does not identify an early miner, a particular holder or a sale. The series is zero throughout 2009–2016, with positive annual maxima appearing from 2017, so its full-history median of zero is a poor benchmark for current activity. Read recent ranges and actual transfer context before interpreting a high historical percentile.

The history includes years before outputs could reach seven years of age, plus many later days without qualifying activity. Those zeros pull down the full-history distribution and make recent nonzero values look relatively elevated.
Does a 7y–10y transfer identify coins from Bitcoin's creator?
No. Output age supplies no identity information and starts from the last creation of the output, not necessarily the coin's mining date. Attributing a movement to a specific person requires independent evidence.
Are outputs older than ten years included in this series?
