Despre acest indicator

Ce măsoară

Supply Held by Addresses with 10K–100K BTC sums the balances of Bitcoin addresses in the 10,000–100,000 BTC range each day. The unit is BTC, and the grouping is by address size, with no claim that each address represents one economic owner.

Cum se citește

Changes show how much supply is housed in very large addresses, a layer sensitive to major wallet allocations. The series reached about 3.182 million BTC on October 21, 2018; its 2018 range ran from about 2.113 million to 3.182 million BTC. Such a wide range illustrates why a single band is an incomplete picture of large-wallet holdings.

Pooled customer custody can concentrate coins into a few addresses, while splitting or merging wallets can move large balances across band limits. A drop could mean redistribution into smaller addresses or consolidation into addresses above 100,000 BTC, rather than sales by large investors.

Întrebări frecvente

Does this group include addresses above 100,000 BTC?

No. It is a bounded balance band, not a cumulative count or total for all addresses above 10,000 BTC. Still larger addresses belong outside this interval.

Can fewer coins in very large addresses mean ownership became more dispersed?

Possibly, but wallet structure alone is insufficient. One custodian can split a balance across many smaller addresses without changing the underlying owners.

Are these private whales rather than exchanges?

Balance size does not identify ownership. Large exchange or custodial wallets may pool many customers, and a private holder can spread coins across multiple smaller addresses.
