Cosa misura

Realized Price by Wallet Size measures the BTC-weighted average cost of coins in each address-balance group, in USD per BTC. It divides each group's realized cost basis by its coin balance, with Overall showing the average across circulating supply.

Come leggerlo

A group's cost line below BTC price means aggregate paper gains; a line above price means aggregate losses. Compare the spread between groups rather than assuming that larger balances imply cheaper entry. On October 17, 2026, 10–100 BTC averaged about $28,186, while 100–1K BTC averaged $67,747, a sizeable difference in breakeven levels.

The average is weighted by coins, not by addresses or people, and changing balances can move addresses between groups. A large address may hold pooled customer funds, while transfers within one owner's wallets can reset measured cost. The lines do not locate individual purchases or guarantee support when price approaches.

FAQ

Is wallet-size Realized Price the average purchase price of each investor?

It is an on-chain proxy weighted by BTC. One investor may control multiple addresses, and a custody address can hold coins for many investors, so it is not a headcount-based average purchase price.

How does this relate to MVRV by Wallet Size?

For the same group and a consistently timed reference price, BTC price divided by the group's Realized Price gives its MVRV. The cost line expresses the relationship in USD; MVRV expresses it as a multiple.

Do larger balance groups always have lower costs?

No. Their costs reflect acquisition history and the addresses included. The October 17, 2026 snapshot puts 100–1K BTC well above 10–100 BTC in average cost, so size alone does not rank entry prices.
