HYPE FAQ
Does HYPE have an ongoing burn mechanism?
Yes. Hyperliquid currently has multiple HYPE burn mechanisms, mainly including HYPE buybacks and burns through the Assistance Fund, as well as HYPE fee burns generated by protocols such as HyperEVM. However, having an ongoing burn mechanism does not mean HYPE is necessarily net deflationary at all times. Burned tokens, token unlocks, new emissions, and changes in circulating supply all need to be considered.
