Mit mér

Cost Basis Distribution Heatmap is intended to map held BTC into USD price bands using each coin's last on-chain move as a cost proxy, with density representing supply at each level. The available series here contain Price and fixed Max price and Min price bounds, but no band-level BTC balances.

Hogyan értelmezzük

In a populated cost distribution, denser bands mean more BTC share a similar reference cost. Clusters below current price represent profitable supply; clusters above it represent underwater supply, and a cluster that persists over time would indicate coins retaining that cost basis rather than turnover volume.

The present series do not establish where dense bands actually lie or how they changed historically. Max price is fixed at about $126,223 and Min price at $0.01 throughout the supplied history: these are bounds, not daily highs and lows, and the early price reference should not be read as a contemporaneous market quote.

GYIK

What is the difference between a cost basis heatmap and a volume profile?

A cost basis heatmap describes the reference acquisition prices of coins still held. A volume profile describes trading activity by price; the same coins can contribute repeatedly to trading volume.

Can a dense cost band be treated as guaranteed support or resistance?

No. Such a band would identify supply sharing a cost level, whose holders may react differently as price approaches. It does not show standing orders or guarantee a price response.

Why do Max price and Min price stay constant?

The supplied series use fixed bounds of about $126,223 and $0.01. They are not daily trading extremes, and neither bound identifies the location or size of a supply cluster.
