Τι μετρά

Percent of Entities in Profit divides the number of holding entities whose estimated average cost basis is below the current BTC price by the total measured holding-entity count. Each entity has equal weight regardless of balance, and the decimal fraction is displayed as a percentage.

Πώς διαβάζεται

A rising percentage means profit is spreading across more measured holders; a falling percentage means fewer entities remain above their estimated cost. The series recorded about 99.996% on May 21, 2025 and about 80.38% on October 17, 2026. It shows the breadth of paper gains, not their size or a timetable for profit-taking.

Clustering and cost-basis estimates can differ from actual purchase records, especially for custody, transfers without a sale and unlinked wallets. The early zero readings include dates before a usable BTC market price existed, so they should not be read as proof that all holders were losing money. No fixed percentage establishes a market top or bottom.

Συχνές ερωτήσεις

How does Entities in Profit differ from Percent Supply in Profit?

Entities in Profit gives each measured entity one vote, regardless of BTC balance. Percent Supply in Profit weights by coin quantity, so the two can diverge when large and small holders have different cost structures.

Does 80% of entities in profit mean an 80% average gain?

No. It means roughly four in five measured entities have an estimated average cost below the current price. It does not measure how far above cost their holdings trade.

How is an entity’s profitability different from an address’s?

An entity combines addresses estimated to share control and uses a combined cost basis. An address-level measure treats addresses separately, so one holder with several wallets can be counted repeatedly and have mixed address-level results.
