Om denne måling

Hvad den måler

Total UTXO Value Created adds the BTC amounts in all transaction outputs created each day, including change and mining reward outputs. It measures gross output value in BTC per day, not newly issued supply or net capital entering Bitcoin.

Sådan læses den

Rising totals indicate more BTC being recorded in new outputs, which may reflect larger transfers or repeated turnover. The recorded peak was about 67.35 million BTC on January 24, 2016, above Bitcoin’s eventual supply cap because the same coins can appear in several successive outputs in one day.

Self-transfers, large change outputs and repeated wallet movements can dominate the sum without equivalent economic payments. Read it alongside output count and mean output value; a single-day spike does not establish new demand, exchange volume or a change of ownership.

FAQ

How can daily output value exceed 21 million BTC?

This is a flow with repeated counting, not a stock of unique coins. A coin moved several times in a day contributes to the value of each new output it passes through.

Is Total UTXO Value Created the same as new BTC issuance?

No. Most new outputs rearrange coins that already existed. Only the block subsidy creates new BTC; ordinary transaction outputs redistribute existing inputs after fees.

Does this metric remove change and internal wallet transfers?

No such adjustment is represented by this gross output-value measure. Change and self-transfers can inflate it relative to payments between different owners.
