Om denne måling

Hvad den måler

For the 0.1–1 BTC cohort, addresses linked to one holder are combined and their total balance determines membership. All balances in that range are added to produce the daily supply figure in BTC.

Sådan læses den

An upward trend means entities below the one-coin threshold collectively hold more BTC; a falling trend indicates less supply in this particular band. Holdings increased from about 647,651 BTC at the start of 2022 to 865,251 BTC at that year’s end, then reached roughly 1.049 million BTC on October 17, 2026.

Reaching the one-coin boundary can remove a growing holder from this cohort, while a larger holder reducing its position may enter. Entity size does not establish wealth, identity or holding intent, and balances at custodial services may represent many underlying customers.

FAQ

Does this series count Bitcoin wholecoiners?

No. It totals supply in the 0.1–1 BTC band rather than counting holders at or above one BTC. Entities that move into the 1–10 BTC band are measured separately.

Why is the chart value above one million BTC?

The limit applies to each entity’s balance. Adding the balances of all entities in this range can produce a total well above one million BTC.

Is this a retail-only Bitcoin holdings measure?

No verified investor classification is implied. Small entity balances may belong to individuals, services or residual wallets, and customers using a custodian may sit inside a much larger entity.
