O této metrice

Co měří

Supply in Profit adds up the BTC in unspent coins whose price at their last on-chain move was below the current BTC price. It measures profitable supply in BTC, without weighting by the size of each coin's gain.

Jak to číst

Rising values mean more supply qualifies as profitable, while falling values show fewer coins above cost. The recorded high was about 19.90 million BTC on August 13, 2025, compared with about 13.57 million on October 17, 2026. Compare the amount with circulating supply to judge breadth across periods with different supply totals.

This balance can change when price crosses dense cost bands, even if no coins move. Internal transfers may reset recorded costs, and lost low-cost coins remain counted. A large total describes paper profitability; it does not establish how much supply is available for sale or how much profit holders will realize.

Časté dotazy

How does Supply in Profit differ from Percent Supply in Profit?

This metric is an absolute BTC amount. Dividing it by circulating supply and multiplying by 100 gives the percentage version, which helps compare profitability breadth across years.

Is Supply in Profit the same as total unrealized profit?

No. It counts profitable BTC, whereas unrealized profit measures the dollar difference between current value and recorded cost for those coins. Small and large gains count equally per BTC here.

Can Supply in Profit change without on-chain transactions?

Yes. A price change can move existing unspent coins above or below their recorded costs. The set of profitable coins can change without holders transferring anything.
