O této metrice

Co měří

Mempool Transaction Count is the number of unconfirmed transactions held in the observed mempool at each observation. It is measured in transactions and counts the waiting queue rather than the number confirmed during the day.

Jak to číst

A growing count means arrivals are outpacing removals in the observed queue; a falling count means the balance has reversed. The recorded peak was 203,711 transactions on August 29, 2023, compared with a full-history median of 6,909.

Transaction count ignores size, fee rate and how many payments each transaction contains. Confirmation is only one way transactions leave: replacement and eviction also reduce the count, and queues differ across nodes. Read daily zeros cautiously, particularly the zero recorded on December 12, 2025.

Časté dotazy

Is pending transaction count the same as daily transaction count?

No. Pending count is the number still waiting at an observation, while daily confirmed count measures transactions included in blocks over a day. A transaction waiting for days can appear in several pending observations.

Does a falling mempool count mean all transactions were confirmed?

Not necessarily. Confirmation reduces the queue, but replacement, expiry, eviction and changes in the observer’s view can also remove entries. The count alone does not distinguish those causes.

Why can a smaller queue still be expensive to use?

A small queue can contain large transactions or many aggressive fee bids. Virtual size and the fee-rate distribution reveal competition that a headcount alone misses.
