Om denne måleverdien

Hva den måler

Liquid Supply estimates the BTC attributed to entities in the intermediate liquidity category, between illiquid and highly liquid behavior. The model groups addresses into entities and assesses spending relative to receipts, reporting the allocated balance in BTC.

Slik leser du den

A larger balance means more supply sits in the intermediate allocation, not that the whole network has become more liquid. This series was about 1.58 million BTC at the May 2020 halving and reached about 2.87 million on July 6, 2026. Changes can reflect movement from either neighboring liquidity category.

Read the three balances together: growth here can come from low-liquidity entities becoming more active or highly liquid entities retaining more coins. Clustering, custody operations and changes in spending history can alter the modeled allocation. It measures neither exchange order-book depth nor a fixed-age holder cohort.

FAQ

Does Liquid Supply include highly liquid entities on this page?

The balance shown here is the intermediate category. Highly Liquid Supply is a separate series; adding the two balances gives a broader view of supply outside the illiquid allocation.

Can intermediate supply rise when overall spending slows?

Yes. Highly liquid entities that retain more receipts may shift weight toward the intermediate category. The balance can rise even if the direction of change is toward less spending.

Why is entity liquidity different from coin age?

Coin age measures time since an output last moved. Entity liquidity summarizes how the attributed holder has spent relative to receipts, so similar-aged coins can have different liquidity classifications.
