इस मीट्रिक के बारे में

यह क्या मापता है

Exchange Deposit Count counts daily on-chain deposits recorded to identified exchange addresses, in deposits. Each event contributes to frequency regardless of the BTC amount; it is not a count of exchange trades or unique depositors.

इसे कैसे पढ़ें

More deposits mean more frequent transfers toward tracked exchanges, potentially for trading, collateral or other account funding. The daily count peaked at 314,219 on January 4, 2018; the highest reading in 2021 was 153,416, so a later price cycle did not require a higher deposit-frequency record.

A deposit does not confirm a sale, and many small deposits can outweigh a few large ones in the count while moving less BTC. Address coverage, deposit handling and transfers from other exchanges affect the series. Compare deposit volume, withdrawals and net flow before drawing conclusions about exchange supply.

अक्सर पूछे जाने वाले प्रश्न

Does depositing BTC on an exchange mean it was sold?

No. Coins may remain in the account or be used for collateral, market making or settlement. The deposit itself does not reveal a subsequent trade.

Are exchange deposits the same as new exchange customers?

No. Existing customers may deposit repeatedly, and a single party can use multiple addresses. Count measures deposit activity rather than customer acquisition.

Why compare deposit count with deposit volume?

The combination helps distinguish many small transfers from fewer large ones. A higher count with lower BTC volume indicates that average deposit size has fallen, provided coverage and counting rules are consistent.
