Revaluation can move addresses across $10,000 with no transactions, so the series mixes balance changes and price effects. No. Qualification uses the current value of the BTC balance on each date, not its purchase cost. Coins acquired for much less can qualify after appreciation.
Why is this different from addresses holding at least ten BTC?
Ten BTC is a fixed coin quantity, while $10,000 corresponds to a changing BTC amount. The dollar-based count can change through price alone; the coin-based count cannot.
Can the latest count rise over a month and fall over a year?
