Om denne måling

Hvad den måler

Miner Outgoing Transfer Count counts on-chain BTC transfers sent from addresses identified with miners each day, in transfers. It describes the frequency of outgoing movements rather than the BTC amount or the number of miners sending coins.

Sådan læses den

Higher counts can reflect more frequent pool payouts, treasury movements or transfers toward trading venues; lower counts indicate fewer outgoing events. The recorded peak was 98,517 on July 5, 2011, while the daily high in 2024 was 9,730, so changes in mining and payout structure matter when comparing eras.

Outgoing transfers are not necessarily sales: pool distributions and moves between wallets also generate activity. Address attribution and payout batching affect the series. To assess potential market supply, compare the BTC amount and destinations rather than treating every outgoing event as an exchange deposit.

FAQ

Do all miner outgoing transfers go to exchanges?

No. Recipients can include pool participants, other wallets or service providers as well as exchanges. This count alone does not identify the destination category.

Can more miner transfers occur without more BTC leaving?

Yes. Dividing the same payout amount into more transfers raises the count without increasing the BTC total. Conversely, batching can reduce count without reducing value.

Should a Bitcoin halving cut miner outgoing transfer count in half?

No. A halving reduces newly issued BTC per block, not the number of payout events. Miners and pools can keep their schedules or change them independently of the subsidy.
