A transfer is not necessarily a sale: consolidation, custody changes and self-transfers can revive coins too. What is the difference between revived supply and supply unmoved for a year?
Revived supply is the daily BTC leaving dormancy through spending. Supply unmoved for a year is the stock still dormant; it also changes as younger coins age past one year.
Does the 1+ year series include five-year-old coins?
Yes. The cutoff is a minimum age, so every spent output aged five years or more also qualifies for the one-year series. These thresholds overlap.
Why is the chart zero in Bitcoin's first year?
No coin could have been dormant for a full year before the network had existed that long. The history begins in 2009, but the threshold only becomes meaningful once coins can reach the required age.
