Agnico Eagle Mines Limited (AEM) is a gold producer with mines in Canada, Mexico, Finland, and Australia. After operating only LaRonde as recently as 2008, it added mines rapidly and merged with Kirkland Lake Gold in 2022, gaining Detour Lake, Macassa, and Australia’s Fosterville mine. The company sold about 3.4 million ounces of gold in 2025 and held roughly 15 years of reserves at year-end. It emphasizes production growth in lower-risk jurisdictions and acquired the remaining 50% of Canadian Malartic, the Wasamac project, and other Yamana Gold assets in 2023.
