Om detta mått

Vad det mäter

UTXOs in Profit counts unspent outputs whose BTC price when created was below the price at the daily observation, in outputs. The comparison estimates paper profitability from on-chain creation prices, giving each output equal weight regardless of its BTC amount.

Så läser du det

An increase can mean price has moved above more output cost bases or that new outputs have changed the composition of the set. The count reached about 359.83 million on October 4, 2026, then stood near 343.26 million on October 17, illustrating that the profitable count can fall even as the chain keeps growing.

A record count need not mean record aggregate gains: there may simply be more small outputs. Lost and dormant outputs remain included, while wallet transfers can reset cost estimates without a trade; compare with Percent UTXOs in Profit and supply-weighted profit measures.

Vanliga frågor

Does one profitable UTXO mean one profitable investor?

No. A holder can own many outputs and a custodian can hold outputs for many customers. This is a count of blockchain records, not people or accounts.

Can the profitable UTXO count rise without new money entering?

Yes. A price increase can lift existing unspent outputs above their creation-price cost bases without moving a coin. Splitting and changing output composition can also affect the count.

How does UTXOs in Profit differ from Percent Supply in Profit?

The former counts outputs equally. Percent Supply in Profit weights by BTC amount, so many tiny profitable outputs can lift the count without representing much of the coin supply.
