BlockBeats reported on January 30th that Coinbase will begin charging a 0.1% fee for USDC redemptions (converted to USD) exceeding $75 million for institutional clients. This regulation applies to conversions within each rolling 30-day period. Conversions between $75 million and $150 million will be charged a 0.1% fee, while conversions between $150 million and $500 million will be charged a 0.15% fee. Conversions over $500 million will be charged a 0.2% fee. Coinbase also noted that "Coinbase Prime" clients who hold over $500 million in assets on the platform or have an average of $100 million USD/USDC held in a month will be exempt from conversion fees. In addition, members who join Coinbase's exchange liquidity program and achieve Tier 1 or Tier 2 status will also be exempt from USDC conversion fees when they qualify each month.
